David has been involved in student ministry for nearly ten years in volunteer, staff, and director positions.  During this time he has been fortunate to work with hundreds of young men and women, helping them take steps forward - no matter how big or how small - in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  His passion and calling is to share the love of Christ with students and encourage them to reach their full potential in Him.

David loves teaching the Word to students, but his primary strength is in the area of small group discipleship.  He is currently the Student Ministry Director at Linworth Road Church.

As early as Exodus 15 (but surely before that) people have worshiped God through song.  Many people will say it is the way they best connect to God and the power of music has changed countless lives through the centuries.  Through his songwriting, singing, and guitar playing, David seeks to lead others into the throne room of God through musical worship.  He knows the importance of incorporating the needs of the audience and seeks to have every single person connect with God through incorporating songs and melodies new and old.  An affirmed worship leader, David leads worship at Linworth Road Church and has led worship at several youth conferences.

David is a Masters-level social worker (MSW, LISW) and works part-time as a clinician at UMCH Family Services.  He specializes in working with adolescents who have issues surrounding grief and loss, trauma histories, oppositional behaviors, and family challenges/adjustments.
